Saif Ali Khan and daughter Sara Ali Khan are the ultimate father-daughter duo. The two seem to share a very close bond with each other and have been shelling out major father-daughter goals for a while now. Reports had suggested that the duo will be sharing screen space for the first time with the film Hindi Medium 2, this news had left a lot of fans excited. According to a report by After Hrs, it was reported that movies director Nitin Kakkar had roped in the two for the sequel and a verbal confirmation was also given. In recent developments, a source told DNA, " The father-daughter drama was supposed to roll out in March 2019. They were talking about shooting it in London and Mumbai. Though Saif and Sara had not signed the contract, they had agreed verbally. The team was also looking out for an older heroine to play Sara’s mother.”
But now it looks like the project has been shelved. The report also stated that " Sara walked out of the film and she has given her dates to another project.” She will apparently make her debut this year with Rohit Shetty’s Simmba while Kedarnath has been pushed for an early 2019 release. The report further stated that Saif also might leave the film, as he had only agreed because he wanted to work with Sara. "Though it’s a great script, he, too, is reconsidering the offer.” stated a source. Meanwhile, he also might start the shoot for Anurag Basu’s next project around the same time. Meanwhile, Sara has two big films lined up ahead of her from Simmba with Ranveer Singh to Kedarnath with Sushant Singh Rajput. We simply cannot wait to see her dazzle on the silver screen.
